Age of Discovery Skills Assessment #15 (6/13/11)

Objectives: We will show our knowledge of the Age of discovery by scoring proficient or advanced on Skills Assessment #15.

Friendly Reminder: Remember to show excellence by doing the following things:

A) While in class, always work hard and be nice.

B) Please read all tasks fully before asking a teammate or your teacher if you don't understand something.

Task 1: Silently review your knowledge of the following presentations. You will have 15 minutes to study:

• Reasons for European Exploration
• Portuguese Exploration
• Spanish Exploration
• European Exploration of North America
• Impact of European Exploration 

Task 2: Track Mr. Herrera as he explains the directions for today's skills assessments. You will be required to annotate each question by doing either of two things:

1. Briefly state why 3 answer choices are incorrect.
2. Briefly state why your answer choice is the BEST answer.

Task 3: If the class finishes early, you may work on homework or early finisher's activities. Be sure to finish all projects you have not finished.

Homework: 

1. Finish your Popplet and MindMeister. The GoAnimate website is down. Therefore, you will have an extension to complete this project. The new due dates are: 

• Friday, June 17, 2011 for KIPPsters NOT going to Utah
• Thursday, June 23, 2011 for KIPPsters going to Utah.
